Butterfly Magic

So we managed to keep the Butterflies alive, don't ask me how since we were gone the week they were supposed to hatch. We made it just in time, they hatched the very next day we came home. In terror of killing them again we released them soon after they emerged from their cocoon. We had one butterfly that came with deformed wings and could not even walk let alone ever fly. Larry asked if we coul keep that one as a pet...isn't that cute. He trys hard to fly but his little crippled wings keep flipping him over onto his back, poor thing. It was fun to see the rest of them fly around our back yard for a second and then disappear over the fence. Aren't Butterflies magical!
This is as close to touching a butterfly Honey would get.

Thank you Grandma Sandy!

New Wheels

I got a new car!!

Ha ha now you can't call me a minivan drivin' mamma!

The minivan has seen its last days with us because of the soon-to-be expired lease and we thought we would try to save some money each month and downsize to a smaller ride. Right on... now I finally have a car I know how to park. Yes, I will miss the power doors and trunk, 6 disk DVD player, stow-n-go seating and a large trunk space but we will just have to sacrafice this time around now won't we. Not only will I save on a car payment each month but in gas too. My minivan only got between 12 and 19 miles per gallon, now I get between 25 and 30+, Score!

Oso Flaco Lake

Can you belive it...we arn't at a beach. Well actually the board walk leads to a beach but we didn't go there, so it doesn't count, ok. There will be no pics of the ocean or beach, amazing I know. Oso Flaco Lake is actually a very large pond, its only about 2 feet deep, but it's got an amazing board walk that takes you across the lake and continues all the way to the ocean, (so neat), we had no idea about this hidden little gem and that it was so close. It was very windy and cold when we went but it was still way worth it.
It was such a nice outting.

Our Wedding Day

April 12, 2002

This is for you babe, since we cannot be together today.

Six years ago today we were sealed for Time and all Eternity in the Oakland, California Temple to my dearest, my better half, my love.

Six years! Holy cow feels like 10 right babe?

In Six years we have accomplished many things together, here are a few to remember:

We've made two of the cutest kids in the whole world, and even though they drive me crazy sometimes, I have got to be the luckiest mom ever.

We have moved...um well...1,2,3....8 exhausting times, It will be 9 in the next few months, please don't ask us why.

We have owned 8 different cars.

Bought and sold our first house.

Changed professions from sitting in a chair all day to speeding down the highway in a chair all day.

Graduated from the 6 month long CHP academy. Finally Graduated from college with my A.S. in Biological Science (7 years). Yeah it took me a bit longer, two kids remember.

We have lived apart for almost a year now if you put together all the times we have not been with each other, trust me not our most easiest times.

We have cried together, laughed together, were mad together, and loved together.

We've had successes and failures, ups and downs, pleasures (yeah baby) and pains.

No one can know what the outcome

Of spending years together will be.

Being happy together is a gift,

And enduring love is the key.
Words cannot describe the love I have for you,
and if I tried to they would be in tears.
Thank you for all that you do for me.
Happy Anniversary Sweet heart, miss you.
I Iove You!

It was nice to get out and enjoy some of God's creations after hearing such spiritual talks from our new Prophet and Apostles. Here are some pics of our walk.

I finally got him

Ok, so getting a picture of Mason these days has been a challenge. For some reason he just does not want his picture taken. So I told him that I didn't want him in my pictures I was taking of the plants and he could not resist. I love reverse psychology, works like a charm.
