The Ornament Tree

This is the earliest that I have ever had a tree up and decorated. The kids are having a ball playing with the ornaments and instead of the Christmas Tree, Mason calls it the Ornament Tree. We are so very excited for this season to finally be on its way. Maybe it will even snow this year for Christmas...Naw, just wishful thinking!

Blessed time

This is one of my favorite quotes ever. I get the chills everytime I read it.
“You were generals in the
War in Heaven,
and one day when you are in the spirit world,
you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear,
"I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea," or "I helped build the pyramids," or "I fought with Captain Moroni." And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say
"Gordon B. Hinckley",
a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven,
and all in attendance will bow at your presence.
You were held back six thousand years because you were the
most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous.”

Elder Boyd K. Packer

Halloween 2007

A Power Ranger and a Witch. Probably the last year I can get away with not dressing Honey up as a fairy, or a princess.

Venice Beach

Venice Beach. If you don't know much about Venice Beach you really don't need to. But I will sum it up for you...bums begging for money, smoking weed right in front of you, half naked men in thongs, crazy music, scary food, cheap trinkits, & one fun day of people watching. We recently took my Parents there and it was quite a culture shock for them but they loved it. Great place to visit during the day, but not after dusk.

Simple Beginnings

So I guess I am starting a blog spot too. I have a myspace account but myspace.com is mostly for the younger crowd, not just anyone can view it and its not as clean as I would like it to be. I hope that more of my family and friends can see our little family, since we are so far away and don't get to see you as often as I would like. Larry and I are currently living in Los Angeles, the city that never sleeps, or has any less traffic or smog or people, right? Even though we daydream of open spaces, and grass to call our own, we are doing just fine. Larry is loving his job in the CHP, but the night shift is taking its toll on him and he is tired a lot. Poor thing. I am still pretending to know what I am doing as a mother, however my kids are still alive and thriving so I must be doing something right. Mason and Honey are growing up fast. Mason is learning the sounds of the letters and Honey says anything you say, she is our little parot. Both are just adorable and as lively as ever. I'm their mom, I can say that right? Hope all had a lovely Thanksgiving.
